ICHIMOKU CLOUDS

The Ichimoku Cloud combines several approaches to the analysis of the market and is designed to identify trends, gauge momentum, and provide trading signals. Ichimoku Kinko Hyo translates into “one look equilibrium chart”. With one look, chartists can identify the trend and look for potential signals within that trend. Although Ichimoku analysis may look complex, it is a straightforward indicator that is very usable. Firstly used in the Japanese markets only, this method of technical analysis became very popular in the international markets as well.

The indicator was developed by a Japanese analyst Goichi Hosoda in the 1930s to predict the movement of the Japanese stock index Nikkei and simplify the use of candlesticks.

Ichimoku can also help to confirm trend reversal and determine the buy or sell trading signals.
